Mera Peak: Nepal 2025

We are thrilled to announce our next big adventure—an exhilarating trek and climb to Mera Peak (6476m) in Nepal! This 16-day journey from the 12th to the 27th of April 2025 will be one of our most thrilling yet, offering an epic combination of high-altitude trekking and a non-technical climb to the summit of Nepal’s highest trekking peak.

Why Mera Peak?

Mera Peak is an incredible destination for those looking to combine trekking with a real climbing experience, offering a challenge without extreme technical demands, making it accessible to anyone with good fitness and a taste for adventure. What makes Mera special is its remote location in the Khumbu region, where you’ll trek through pristine landscapes, lush valleys, and small Sherpa villages.

Though less crowded than some of Nepal’s more famous trekking routes, Mera Peak delivers unmatched panoramic views. On summit day, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of five of the world’s tallest peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga.

The Journey So Far

Our last Mera Peak adventure left us with memories of overcoming tough but rewarding challenges, including trekking through the beautiful Hinku Valley and across glaciers under clear skies. A sense of camaraderie grows with every step as the landscape changes from green foothills to snow-covered, high-altitude terrain.

On summit day, we set out before dawn, navigating crevasses and climbing steady slopes in the early light, with the Himalayan giants rising majestically around us. Standing on the summit of Mera Peak at 6476m was a triumphant moment we’ll never forget. The climb itself isn’t technical, but the high altitude and demanding ascent offer the perfect blend of challenge and thrill.

What to Expect in April 2025

For next year’s expedition, we have a small group of four excited adventurers, and a few spots are still open for anyone ready to take on this unique challenge. Here’s a quick look at what the trek involves:

Trek Highlights: We’ll fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, trekking through the Sherpa heartland, passing through villages, monasteries, and rhododendron forests. Acclimatisation days are built into the itinerary to ensure a safe and steady ascent.

Summit Day: Expect an early alpine start, roping up and making your way across snowfields and glaciers. No technical experience is needed, but we’ll be using basic gear like crampons and ice axes.

Cultural Immersion: Along the way, you’ll experience the warmth of the Sherpa culture, visit remote monasteries, and enjoy Nepalese cuisine at local teahouses. Sherpa guides will be with us every step of the way, offering insight into the culture and environment of this sacred mountain region.

Fitness and Preparation

Climbing Mera Peak is a demanding adventure, and we recommend at least 3-6 months of preparation before the trek. Physical fitness is key, so if you’re thinking about joining, now’s the perfect time to start training. If you love trekking and want to test yourself at high altitude without the need for technical climbing skills, this adventure is for you!

Join Us in April

Whether you’re an experienced trekker or someone looking for their first big mountain adventure, Mera Peak offers the perfect blend of excitement, challenge, and Himalayan beauty. Ready for the adventure of a lifetime?
